All About UsThe Cotton Ball was founded in Morro Bay in 1969 and has enjoyed serving both the local and traveling lover of sewing, quilting, knitting & crochet. In 2012 the shop was purchased by Lori Stollmeyer Ryan- and has enjoyed a resurgence of energy & fresh, new inventory. We have a wonderful talented staff- available in store and by phone for sewing questions or help (over 250 years of experience combined!). We also love to help new sewers or new to quilting sewers get started! We carry a large selection of: Quilters Quality Cotton Fabric, Sewing notions, Home decor fabric, Yarn, needles & hooks, embroidery floss, Ribbon & Trim, Sewing & Quilting Patterns & Books, Pfaff Sewing Machines, Embroidery Machines & Overlocks as well. Once on the 1, (after roughly 12 miles) you will turn right at San Jacinto Street (this is at a stop light) in Morro Bay, past the exit for Atascadero Rd. Then take a sharp right onto Main Street and we are located on the left-hand side in between Lolo's & Chapala Mexican Grill) On this journey you will pass many of the areas "Seven Sisters" volcanic formations, leading you to our beautiful Morro Rock. Also, Chorro regional park & golf course and Cuesta Junior College From San Francisco (or Paso Robles or Atascadero) From Highway 101 South- you have 2 choices- 1. Highway 46 west in Paso Robles (A beautiful wide, mildly winding road, you will pass wineries and amazing vistas of the coast) Head west, turn left onto Highway One. Exit LEFT at San Jacinto Street in Morro Bay (this is at the second stop light once in Morro Bay on the 1); turn RIGHT onto Main St. The shop is on the left in between Lolo's & Chapala Mexican restaurants. We have street parking in the front and rear of the building, as well as parking spaces that face the ocean in our lot. 2. Highwy 41 west in Atascadero (A beautiful winding road, you will pass our local avocado ranches & seasonal fruit/vegetable stands). Turn RIGHT onto Main St. We are located a few blocks past Spencer's Fresh Market on the right next to Chapala Mexican Grill. SEE YOU SOON!!
